Today, most elite players cover between 7 and 9 miles per game, compared to a small minority of players in the 1970s, exceeding only 5 miles. Not only has distance covered dramatically improved in the game, but the game's speed has become so much more ballistic and powerful. It truly takes a conscience approach to get to the very top. Many top athletes utilize the 1% better everyday approach to achieve their objectives by implementing soccer-specific gym workouts to complement their everyday practices.
